Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization(APSCO)
On March 1, 2018, the Chinese Ambassador to the Republic of Peru, H.E. Mr. Jia Guide, visited the APSCO Headquarters in Beijing, China. Dr. Li Xinjun, the Secretary-General of APSCO accompanied by key officials of APSCO warmly welcomed him at the Headquarter. Mr. Nasir Mahmood, the Director-General of External Relations & Legal Affairs Department apprised the Excellency on the objectives of the Organization and its cooperative activities. Ambassador Mr. Jia had nostalgic memories of the initial years of APSCO and was happy to see APSCO in the 10th year of its establishment and as a successful Organization. He complimented the secretariat for its efficient work, especially expressed his appreciation on the quick response and support extended to Peru during unprecedented floods last year. He showed his confidence in APSCO in extending benefits to the Member States from its multi-lateral platform. He also visited APSCO Exhibition Centre and other facilities at the Headquarters and extended his support for promoting spatial cooperation in the Latin America. Both side also exchanged views on mutual concerns.
