History of APSCO

  The Signing Ceremony of the Convention of APSCO was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, China on 28 October 2005. Representatives from eight Governments signed the Convention, namely Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, Iran, Mongolia, Pakistan, Peru and Thailand. The representatives from Russia, Ukraine, Philippines, Chile and Brazil attended the Ceremony. Chinese Vice-Premier Huang Ju met the representatives of all delegations and witnessed the signing. 
        Shortly after the signing of the APSCO Convention by eight countries, the Republic of Turkey signed the Convention on 1 June 2006 in Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing, China. H.E. Mr. Oktay Ozuye, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to China signed the Convention on behalf of his Government. From that on, Turkey became the ninth Signatory Country of APSCO Convention. During Turkey’s Signing Ceremony, the representatives from Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, Iran, Mongolia, Pakistan, Peru and Thailand, as well as the delegates from Malaysia, Argentina and Ukraine presented the event. Dr. Sun Laiyan, Administrator of CNSA, attended the Ceremony and met with all participating representatives.
