The First Expert Group Meeting (EGM) on Asia-Pacific Ground-based Optical Space Object Observation System (APOSOS) Project Phase II was successfully organized in Beijing, China, during 15 -19 January, 2018. Representatives of all APSCO Member States and APSCO Secretariat participated in the Meeting.
Dr. Li Xinjun, Secretary General of the APSCO gave a welcome speech, emphasized the importance of the APOSOS strategic network. Finally, he wished the meeting to be successful with fruitful outcomes. The 1st EGM was chaired by Dr. Manop Aorpimai, Director General, Strategic Planning and Program Management Department of APSCO. The Meeting went on smoothly and successfully accomplished all its predefined objectives. After the meeting, all participants visited the Xinlong Observatory Station. The delegates from all Member States appreciated the efforts of the Secretariat and the Leader of the Project Feasibility Study, 'The Space Debris Observation and Data Application Center (SDOAC)‘, for successfully organizing the 1st EGM.
